Application Design

Building software takes several key steps, these are completed in what is known as an iterative approach.

Based on our experience, and to ensure quality, our offerings include the following steps:

We work with you to determine what you need out of your software, if you have already created this material we use this and build on it.
We discuss your intended business growth and review what technology you already own. With your budget in mind we identify the options available. The solution proposed will cover how the custom software interacts with your computers, your network, databases and any other applications where interaction is required.
During the initial steps of this phase certain key parts of the application are developed and worked through with you. This avoids 'surprises' and allows everyone to agree it will operate as expected. This develop and test process may be required a number of times, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
It is important to test the application before everyone starts using it, this helps ensure design requirements are met and that you know it runs on your system as expected.
There are a number of different types of documentation created as part of the development process, this includes internal code documentation, installation and maintenance documentation and staff documentation with 'cheat sheets' and help available for training users.
This is the stage where the application is set up for all required staff and general use of the product begins. We monitor progress, watch for abnormal behaviour and work on fixing anything that appears quickly.
